Tool for automation of internet market research and data mining activities
This Java based GUI provides Web-based Market Research Automation services to help businesses attract and understand buyers. The application is based on the 3 tier client server architecture. The first tier is the Java GUI, second tier consists of Java servlets which take care of the business logic and the third tier is the Oracle 8.x database. The client sends requests to the servlet which interacts with the database and services the requests.Ethnic Portal Site
The ethnic portal site is designed to support English and foreign Languages. The portal consist of different sections which provides - information, entertainment and Business to Business solutions, Pager, Chat, News, Message boards, Mails, Greeting Cards, Polls, Custom Browsers etc.
The portal is designed using IIS web server, Oracle, SQL Server Databases, ColdFusion Web Application Server with Perl, Java, C/C++ modules. The Online News System designed using Java & Perl gets data continuously from different news providers and generates formatted HTML pages on fly.

The application is designed to manage Back Office System in Stock Broking firm (JB Securities, a subsidiary of Multipurpose Group). The system is designed to work online with KLSE, BFE, CDS, SCANS Systems of Malaysia. The key functions are - Trading functions (buying and selling of shares), Accounting and Security of a Stock broking firm. The system manages back office functions covering Trade processing, CDS Settlement, Credit Control, Client Accounting, Custody, Collateral Management, Bank Pledging and Access Control. The application is interfaced with internet and intranet so that clients can interact with the system and keep track of financial operations like buying and selling of shares, verify credits, custody status.Web based tool for Remote Application execution
The Web based tool supports the concept of Virtual Workgroups and facilitates Remote application execution. This is an "intranet on the fly" application, facilitating creation and modification of virtual workgroups from within the program. The ICA (Independent Computing Architecture) thin-client technology makes remote application execution very efficient over low network bandwidths. Workgroups and Users are created on Windows NT "on-the-fly".Illustration Web Project
This project involved conversion of the Illustration Module that runs on a dos platform into a Web based Illustration module. A typical 3-tier architecture was incorporated. The client side of this architecture contained an HTML page in which an applet was embedded. Some portions of the business logic was included in the GUI to make client side validation on the data. The client GUI contacts the server through a server socket.MBO is a Business Object which mainly deals with business to business process on the Internet regarding the selection of items required by the customer and also handles the Request for Quotation for the negotiation purpose. MBO negotiates product prices with respect to prices offered by the customer. The MBO mainly consists of three objects viz, Catalog, Purchase Package and Request For Quotation(RFQ). When a customer connects to a distributor's home page, a Catalog of Hottest / Latest selling items as well as general list of items is displayed. Based on the selection of the items and the quantity required, the items are put into a shopping basket. The list of selected items is displayed to customer. The customer can now request for quotations for negotiating with the distributor the price of selected items. If both agree, after the negotiation, the data is stored in a database else the transaction is cancelled.
